Rules:

The most commonly played version of online craps is the Bank Craps and given below are some important rules for playing it. The basic rules are always the same, however there might be a few modifications depending from one casino to another.

  1. Craps is a simple dice game which is played on a special table known as the craps table. There are two dice involved in playing this game. Rules related to handling these dice depend from one casino to another. 20 players can play at the table at a time. Shooter, Stickman, Boxer and Dealers are the important characters related to an online craps game.
  2. To start the craps game, a Shooter must place a bet on either the Don’t Pass Line or on the Pass Line. After placing the bet, the Stickman will give him a chance to choose two dice from a set of five or more.
  3. The Shooter is permitted to use only one hand to deal with the dice. While the player throws his dice, it is necessary that they should hit the opposite walls of the craps table.
  4. The players get turns to throw the dice one by one, following a clockwise motion. It is entirely a player’s choice, whether to place a bet and roll the dice or not.
  5. Every round has two phases: Point & Come Out. The Shooter actually begins the round when he rolls atleast one Come out. A Come Out or Crap Out roll of 12, 3 or 2 makes a player lose the round along with his Pass Line bets. A roll of 11 or 7, also known as a Natural will help a player win his Pass Line bets. The shooter is permitted to roll the dice until he gets a 10, 9, 8, 6, 5 or 4. This set is known as a Point. The second phase of the game is marked by the dealer when he moves the On button.
  6. If a player (shooter) gets one of the Point numbers, he wins his Pass Line bets. In case, a 7 is rolled out by him, the Pass Line bets are lost.
  7. The new game will start when a next shooter rolls the dice.

Understanding the Craps Table:

The two dice are rolled on the craps table. This table exhibits a special layout, which can be understood as follows:
There are three areas marked on the craps table; a center portion divides the layout into two parts. These two parts are identical to each other contain Odd bets, Place bets, Field bets, Come Bets, Don’t Come bets, Don’t Pass Line bets and Pass Line bets. The center contains all the Proposition bets.

The Types of Bets In Craps:

Online craps consists of the following seven types of bets:

  1. Proposition Bets: The following bets are known as the Proposition bets and can be placed anytime.
    • Any Seven: The Payout is 5:1, if the player gets a 7 he wins.
    • Any Craps: The Payout is 8:1, if the player gets 12, 3 or 2 he wins.
    • Ace Deuce: The Payout is 16:1, if the player gets a 3 he wins.
    • Eleven: The Payout is 16:1, if the player gets an 11 he wins.
    • Boxcars or Aces: The Payout is 30:1, if the player gets 12 or 2 he wins.
    • Horn Bets: In this the Payout is according to the number which the player gets. This bet is associated with the numbers 12, 11, 3 and 2.
  2. Pass Line Bet: It is the basic bet when it comes to online craps. The player will win if he receives a natural i.e. 11 or 7. In case 12, 3 or 2 appear on the dice, the player will lose the game.
  3. Don’t Pass Line Bet: This bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet. Winning the game is associated with rolling 12, 3 or 2 while losing it is when a player rolls a 7 or 11.
  4. Come Bet: The same rules which apply to the Pass Line bets are related to this bet as well. The only thing that marks a difference is that this bet is only valid if the player wins the Pass Line bet first.
  5. Don’t Come Bet: This is the opposite of Come bet. It also comes into validation after the Pass Line bet.
  6. Field Bets: Field Bets are placed with one dice only. Winning this bet is associated with the numbers 12, 11, 10, 9, 4, 3, and 2. The game is lost if the outcome of the dice is 8, 7, 6 or 5. The payouts in these bets are very different.
  7. Place Bets: After the Point is achieved, these bets come into play. The game is won if the number on which the bet is placed is achieved before 7.
